In 1994 he graduated with honors from the medical faculty of the Yaroslavl Medical Institute. After postgraduate studies at the Department of Normal Physiology (1994-1997), he continued to work at the Department as an assistant (since 1997), senior lecturer (since 2002), professor (since 2005). In 2004 - 2009 - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Pediatrics for junior courses. From 2010-2011 - Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry. From 2011 to the present, head of the Department of Normal Physiology with Biophysics.
Candidate of Medical Sciences since 1997, Doctor of Medical Sciences since 2003. Main areas of scientific interests: molecular physiology of neurons of the autonomic nervous system in postnatal ontogenesis, hypothalamic regulation of aging. Author of more than 350 scientific papers on the problems of neuromorphology and neurophysiology, incl. federal textbook on normal physiology, certified by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, 4 monographs, 7 chapters in international monographs. Under his leadership, 1 doctor and 5 candidates of sciences were trained.
Winner of the IBRO competition "IBRO Scholarship Against the Soviet Brain Drain", winner of the European Federation for Autonomous Nervous System Research and Sumimoto Pharmaceuticals - EFAS-Sumimoto Pharmaceuticals Award (2001), INTAS grant for young scientists (2002), winner of the state scientific scholarship for young scientists of Russia, grant of the President of the Russian Federation for young doctors of science (2008-2009, 2010-2011). He was awarded the honorary medal. Robert Koch of the European Scientific Society (Hannover, Germany, 2009), diploma of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation (2015), gratitude of the organizing committee of the "Year of Science and Technology - 2021". Scientific research carried out under his leadership has been repeatedly supported by grants from the President of the Russian Federation, RFBR, RSF, INTAS, projects within the framework of the Federal Target Programs of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Russian Federation. Expert of the Russian Science Foundation, Federal Register of Experts in the Scientific and Technical Sphere.
